How to generate a Custom CMYK ICC ?

    A Custom CMYK ICC Profile is more complicated than generating a Unique RGB ICC. Your printer should provide it.

    We have a lot of characters combination in running a print job, different elements with different characters, and the combination of those factors will totally influence the print effect, for example the print machine characters, the paper characters, the Screening, CMYK ink characters, etc. If we can obtain that component information accurately then we can ensure the color reproduction. A Custom CMYK ICC Profile, which has already obtained all information, can process the color separation and high-level print production.

    To ensure the print color to match the monitor preview, we need a complete ICC profile workflow. Under the ICC Profile workflow that we can preview the color reproduction of the destination device, for example different kinds of printers or offset printing machine, if we can ready the full set of those devices’ ICC profile, that we can get the ideal result “What you see is what you get!”. The full set devices’ ICC profiles are:

  • • a Generic RGB profile for matching destination devices
  • • a Custom RGB ICC profile for calculating the current monitor’s color preserve for matching
  • • a custom CMYK ICC profile for your destination device
